Dwight Howard trade fantasy analysis

Finally the Dwight Howard trade went down. As usual the end result did not have much to do with the rumors that had been circulating in this off-season. I personally am very happy with the end result, as the one thing I wanted to see in my lifetime was Nash playing with Dwight. Mostly because Dwight's best offensive move is the pick and roll and Nash is the best PG to run a pick and roll with. If Mike Brown cant win a championship with this lot than I hope he never gets a job in the NBA again ( no pressure :). So lets look at what exactly went down and who the winners and losers for fantasy are.

Magic received: Nicola Vucevic, Arron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Josh Mcroberts, Moe Harkless and pics.

76ers received: Andrew Bynum, Jason Richardson,

Nuggets received: Andre Iguodala

Lakers received: Dwight Howard, Earl Clark, Chris Duhon

 Winners and Losers

Orlando Magic

Al Harrington should be unaffected by this as he will still be a scorer off the bench playing minutes according to how hot or cold he gets. Pretty much the entire Magic team see a boost with this news.

Winners:

Nicola Vucevic-
Should be the starting center and receive at least 20+ minutes

Gustavo Ayon-
Could be competing for the starting center position or will at least play some more minutes there.

Glen Davis-
His starting stats for Orlando are impressive 16.4 pts, 8.8 rebs with 1.4 steals are impressive and achievable this season.

Jameer Nelson-
ill need to step up his scoring this season.

Arron Afflalo-
Is the starting SG infront of Reddick immediately, and Orlando currently only have Glen Davis, Hedo Turkoglu and Jameer Nelson to do the scoring for them. Afflalo will need to do more of everything and should be an even better pick this season.

Losers:

It seems to me that there are no clear losers here especially as there is a new coach in town, so everyone should have a chance to impress.

Denver Nuggets

Winners:

 Wilson Chandler-
Will likely Absorb at least some of the minutes left by Al Harrington, and is a guy I will really be keeping an eye on as his ability to contribute in all categories is invaluable.

Andthony Randolph-
Has a better chance to get minutes at PF now that Harrington is gone, but I don't advise drafting him as Chandler should still get the majority of minutes there.

Kenneth Faried-
Looks like the clear starter at PF now and has every chance to become a beast in hustle categories.

 Andre Iguodala-
Nuggets are a much faster paced team than the 76ers, that should mean for more of everything for Iggy, only assists could take a small hit.

Losers:

Ty Lawson-
Ty Lawsons minutes should remain unchanged but having another ball handler on the floor could affect his ast numbers.

Andre Miller-
This move could reduce Miller to a mere backup of Lawson as there will be less minutes behind Iggy than there were behind Afflalo

Philadelphia 76ers

Winners:

Dorell Wright-
I think he would much rather compete with J-Rich that Iggy for minutes.

Evan Turner-
Should see a bump in assist numbers as the second best ball handler on the team.

Jrue Holiday
This kid could blow up this year, as the primary ball handler in the team, his assist numbers should go through the roof and playing pick and roll with Bynum and having Young, Wright, J-Rich knocking down 3s wont hurt as well. Top #50 pick IMO.

Losers:

Kwame Brown Spencer Hawes Thaddeus Young, Lavoy Allen-
All these players lose minutes, Allen becomes even more worthless he was before, Brown is also not worth drafting in any leagues as a backup C, Spencer Hawes wont spend any minutes at the C next season and that also leaves less minutes for T Young as the backup PF.

Los Angeles Lakers

Winners:

Dwight Howard-
Playing pick'n-roll with Nash should help his offensive game improve, I think at least 60% FG% with 22-25 pts should be achievable.

Losers:

Pau Gasol-
Nothing major here just rebounds should take a hit with Dwight hogging the boards.
